Chapter #29

This is the 29 Chapter and so far I think that this book is great.Ok back to the story.Two years later The same ship came back and she decided to go to them. so she did and they were very nice. Karana did not speak the same language so they just made shapes with there hands.The white men made a dress for Karana and they were ready to leave but they stayed there for 10 days.When they were sailing she thought of all of the good times she had on the island.She was so sad leaving the island but she missed not being with people.
This book is awesome.Ok I'm done with the book nothing else to say.

Chapter #28

When Karana woke up the next day she walked over to the beach and she saw all over her canoe's and they were all destroyed and she had no food.So Karana had to make another canoe.She picked up all the planks from the destroyed canoes and she was making a new one.The next day she was all most done making the canoe and she looked at the ocean and she saw a ship.It did not look like the Aleuts ship but it did not look like the white peoples ship.She decided to hide in case it was the Aleuts in a different ship.Two men came out of the ship and called for her but before she could get to them the two men they jumped in the ship and left her. This chapter was sad. I don't know what will happen next.

Chapter #27

It was summer and the island was very hot.One day Karana wanted to go to sleep so she put the canoe over her for shade.When she woke up the ocean did not look the same.there was a beach far in the ocean.the reason there was a beach in the island is because the tide was super low.So Karana went to the beach to get some food and a huge wave came so she ran to a close hill and grabbed on to it.the hit her and it hert her.They kept on hitting her so she climbed the hill and stayed up there till it died down.The next day it was a little bit better so she ran to the house and stayed there.When she was at the house she could her the waves crashing on the mountain.Finally the next day the waves stopped. I do not know what will happen next.

Chapter #26

Karana was so sad that Rontu died that she did not go out side for a long time but one day she did and she saw a dog that looked a lot like Rontu.The dog had a white fur coat just like Rontu and it had yellow eyes.So Karana thought about catch him. So she put out traps but the dog never got trapped.So she thought of another way to catch the dog.She made this strange mixture of items and put it in the water that the dogs drink.When the dogs finally drank the water they all fell a sleep.So she ranover to the dogs and picked up the one that looked like Rontu.It looked so much like Rontu Karana thinks it is Rontu's baby.So she ran to her house with dog and tide him up and put some meat by him.When the dog woke up he howled for the rest of the day.After a few day's the dog became friends with Karana. Karana decided to name the dog Rontu-Aru which means Rontu's son. I thought this chapter was happy because Karana found another friend.

Chapter #25

Some thing very sad happened in chapter 25.Karana's dog named Rontu died. Avery night Karana lets her dog out to go play and he will show up the next night but one day he did not show up.So Karana went out to go look for him and she found him laying in a cave.So she put her hand out and he like it but he did not have a lot of energy.So she picked him up and walked him to the house.On the way they saw a lot of seagulls.So she put Rontu down expecting him to bark at them put he just followed them with his eyes so Karana put her hand on is chest and she felt his heart spot.So the next day she barred His body. This chapter was sad.

Chapter #24

It was spring again and there were a lot of birds.The birds that Karana caught last year came back to the island and they laid two baby birds.So Karana took them and tamed them just like the parents.One day Karana was in the canoe and there were a couple of otters in the water.She was paddling back to the island and there was a otter that followed her. She didn't recognised him at first but then she noticed that it was the one she found a month ago.The otter was not a lone it had to babies behind it.Karana found out that the otter was actually a girl and it was a mom.Since Karana had a lot of pets she decided to not kill any animals. This chapter was happy.

Chapter #23

after the Aleuts left there were a lot of injured otters.Karana killed a couple to put them out of there misery.When Karana was walking around one day she saw a small otter and it did not look injured. so she walked over to it and she saw a gash in it's back so she put it in a safe area and left it there and came back with two fish.when Karana came back the two fish were gone.The next day she brought three fish and the otter ate them.the next day Karana brought four and now she always brings four.One day Karana couldn't catch any fish so she did not go to it that day.So when she went to feed the otter the next day it was not there.Sadly it left. Since Karana had nothing to do she made two earrings to match her neckles. Sad but happy.

chapter #22

The girl came back and Karana became friends with her.they hanged out with each other for a couple days and Karana was happy they became friends. One day the little girl came back with a pretty neckles . Karana was so happy that she got a neckles that she made one for the Aleut girl.They were very good friends and Karana and the Aleut girl hung out about a very day but one day the Aleut girl did not come so Karana looked out side and the Aleuts were gone.Karana was happy because she could go were ever now but she was sad and lonely now. This chapter was ok. I think Karana will get very sad and lonely.

Chapter #21

Karana was nervous that the little girl that was with the Aleuts would go to far looking for food and find her.So she stayed in the cave in case she came. One day Karana went out side to her skirt out of feathers and the little girl showed up.Karana was nervous so she picked up her spear and was about to throw it at her but she did not. The girl saw that Karana was making a skirt and she said it was pretty in a different Language.They did not speak the same language but she under stood that word.The little girl went back to the Aleuts so Karana packed up her stuff and got ready to leave in case she brought the Aulets. This chapter was exciting. I think the little girl will come back.

Chapter #20

Karana was nervous that the Aleuts would come back to catch the otters so she watched every day to see if they would show up.One day a couple of clouds were on the ocean.She noticed that one of the clouds did not look like the other ones. It was actually the Aleuts.So she packed all her stuff before they reached the island.she then went in a small cave and covered it with rocks so they could not come in. This chapter was nerve racking.

Chapter #19

Karana was in her canoe one day and she saw a giant devil fish so she got her spear and threw it at the devil fish. She thought she missed it but she actually hit it.the devil fish was so strong that the string that was attached to her hand made her bleed.In the end she pulled it to the beach and she caught it. I don't know what will happen next.This chapter was exciting.

chapter #18

There were a lot of birds this spring and Karana saw these two birds that were beautiful and they laid two eggs so she took them and raised them. When the birds hatched they were gray and ugly unlike there parents.But when they got older they became beautiful. Karana trained them and clipped the birds wings so she could let them out side. they were so tamed that she did not have to trim there feathers and the just flew around and did not leave her. this chapter was awesome.

chapter #17

The island girl one day saw a devil fish witch is a squid.She made a spear so she could kill it. But right before she went out to catch one she herd barking so she got her bow and arrows and followed the sound. Finally she reached the sound and she found her dog named Rontu and the rest of the pack. She notice that only two of the pack members were fighting Rontu.in the end Rontu won. I think this chapter was exciting.

Chapter #16

She was scared that the Auellet ship would come back so she decided to make a canoe.it took here a long time making it.It took here a month.when she was done she went in it with her dog and went around the island.She spotted a small cave and so she went in it and it was huge.They stayed in the cave and she decided to keep her canoe there. I do not know what will happen. I thought this chapter was cool.

Chapter # 15

In chapter 15 the girl that was stuck on the island want to kill the leader in the dog pack so she went done to the cave where they live and made a fire a put it in the cave. None of the dogs ran out until the fire died.Right when the fire died 7 dogs ran out but she saved here arrows hopping that the leader would come.Soon after the dogs left the leader came.He didn't see here at first but when he saw her he just stared at her so she picked up her bow and shot him right in the chest. He stood there and took one step and collapsed.She thought he was dead so she went back to her house.The next day she went back to where she shot him but he was not there.She finally found him on the fourth day.He was lay on a rock by the beach so she picked up her spear and was about to shoot him but he lifted his head up and then dropped it.she was going to shoot it but she felt to sad for it so she took it home and cleaned it up and kept it as a pet. I think they are going to be friends. This chapter was exciting.

Chapter #14

When the island girl tried too shoot the bull she fell down and hurt her leg.So she dragged her self to a cave and stayed there for 6 days.When she got better she made the cave in to a house in case she got hurt again.After that she went down to the beach and one of the bulls died.So she took the tusks and she was very happy. This chapter was cool.

Chapter#13

in Chapter 13 I learn that you can say the same size save one instead of the same size except one. Ok back to what i read.The island girl wanted to get a good spear tip so she wanted to kill a sea elephant and get it's tusks.She was on top of the mount watching the sea elephants to see witch one was the smallest.So she found the smallest bull and walked down to shoot it but the bull went over to another bull and fought it.I think one of the bulls will die and she will get the spear tip.

Chapter #12

The little girl that was left on the island named Karana wanted a house and a fence.So she went to the beach and found a dead whale so she took the rib bones and used them to make the fence. She also wanted to make a house but there was hardly any wood left.One day she was lucky and she found 4 long branches . Thin she found eight more branches and made the house. it took her about a month but she felt well protected after she was done.after she made the house she wanted to make better weapons.So she made a bigger and better spear but she could make a better arrow because she could not kill the sea elephants.So she tried to figure out how to kill one but she could not think of a way. I think she will find away and kill one.

Chapter #11

When she got back she rested for a long time but there was a lot of storms so she decided to make a house. She went to a hill but there was a lot of sea elephants that made too much noise, so she moved to a different place by the hill. She put a grass hut over her head so she did not get as wet. She decided to live here till the white men came back and she would not try to leave the island by taking a canoe. Cool. I don't know what will happen next.

Chapter #10

Since she didn't see the boat for a long time, she got scarred. She thought to her self that if her ancestors canoed around this island that she could canoe to a different island. So she put a lot of food in the canoe and went in the water she got so far from the island that she could not see it any more. But the canoe was so old that it started having leaks so she tore a peace of her skirt and stuffed it. This worked for a couple of minutes but then the skirt washed a way. So she decided to go back to the Island. Sadly she wasted all that time. She used all of her energy and got no where. I this chapter was interesting. I think she will be very angry that she didn't reach it and she will try again.

Chapter #9

Ramo's sister made some weapons in case the dogs attacked her. She was worried at first to make them because there was a rule on the island that no women could make weapons.The islanders told her that if women made weapons the island would flooded with water.she tried to make a Bowen arrow but she messed up. Finally she succeeded.One night she killed three dogs.Since she had a lot of weapons she was not nervous. But she still was scarred that the boat would not come back for her.This chapter was lonely. I think she will have a better and easer time on the island now because she has weapons.

Chapter #8

Ramo and his sister stayed at the island.there were a lot of dogs there.Ramo's brother was finding food in the ocean and Ramo was going to the top of the island. Ramo's sister was getting nervous because he was supposed to be back about 5 hours ago.So Ramo's sister hiked up the mountain and when she reached the top she found her brother dead on the ground.Since he died Ramo's sister stayed with Ramo's dead body. I think this chapter was very sad.I think Karana will be very scarred and sad that her brother died for the rest of the book.

chapter #7

When we were packing to go on the ship there was a lot of excitement. The wind was growing stronger. So Ulape shouted at every one to hurry up.Ulape shouted to all the people that if the ship leaves there will be another one coming back.Ramo one of the islanders was getting on the boat when he noticed that he for got his spear.since he ran to get the boat left him. Ramo's saw his brother on top of the hill so he jumped in the water and swam to Ramo.They both had to wait till the next ship. I think they are going to have to wait for the ship and they will be scarred.I think this chapter was different because they got left behind.

chapter #6

After Kimki had been gone for one day, the islanders started to watch for Kimki's return.For the whole spring Kimki never returned.they replased kimki with this man named Matasaip.Matasaip thought of an idea.The idea was for 2 people too watch for the aeulets.when the two men were watching that night,oneof the men came running back to the village.everyone was a sleep but his cry woke up everyone."The Aleuts!"he shouted."the Aleuts!" Quietly every one went to the canoes but Matasaip staid thare to find out if it was the Aleuts.He found out that it was not. It was these white guys. They said that Kimki told them to bring all of the Island people.I think this chapter is very exciting because it means Kimki reached the country.I don't know what will happen because if Karana leaves the book would not becalled Island of the blue dolphin.

chapter #5

after the war only 15 men survived.The Chief was one of the men that died.For many days after that the village was quiet.Since the chief died the villagers picked a new one.The new chiefs name was Kimki.He was very old but he was a very good man.The chief was worried that the Aulets would come back so the villagers put food in a couple of their boats in case they had to escape.The Chief decided to take a canoe and paddle to a different country.We watched him paddle out.At night we talked about if Kimki would return. I think this chapter was sad because a lot of people died.I think that the chief will return.

Chapter #4

The Aleuts were done hunting and they didn't pay the villagers.This chief of the island was talking to captain orlov.so then captain orlov holed up several necklaces.the chief shook his head.He said that 1 string of beads for one otter pelt is not our deal.Our deal is one string of beads and one iron spearhead.one of the men said that they would pay them after hey helped him load the boat up with the otters.The chief replied I will help you after you give me the chests.I really don't know what happened but captain Orlov shoved the chief on the ground and he started bleeding.Then the soldiers raised their spears and the island people rushed them. A puff of white smoke came from the deck and 5 of the island people fell on the ground and layed quiet.there was a long fight and I thought that the island people would win but captain Orlov should up with more soliders.They ran away and jumped in the boat with out paying the island people. After the fight a lot of people died. This page was sad because a lot of people died.I do not know what will happen next.

Chapter #3

The otter hunters were in the water throwing their long spears killing the otters.Every day the villagers counted the the dead otters.They noticed all the dead otters and told the chief that the hunters should stop or all the otters would die. But the chief just said that there where more otters around the island.I think after they are done hunting there are going to be no otters left to catch.
