Chapter #2

In this chapter, it started to get at least a little more interesting. Captain Orlov, looking for higher grounds, came on the island and talked to islanders about what the island was like because the island was almost flooded. The little girl was walking, trying to find shellfish since all the white bass were hiding deep under the ocean, and she came to find that because the ocean was high tide the white bass got scared from the whales and jumped out of the ocean. So when she was walking, they were on the rocks of the bay, so she went to go call the islanders for them to see the white bass as well.So they caught them and they were very happy.I think this chapter was interesting.I am clueless about what will happen next. Chapter #1

In the first chapter, it was just explaining more the characters and the setting. In the beginning, a little girl saw a red sail from afar. Then, it got closer, and she looked harder and she saw that it was a Aleut Ship. Aboard were six tall guys with long hair, and bones sticking out of their noses. When they finally reach land, they told the islanders that they were hunting for otters.
In the next chapters, I think that after telling the islanders about hunting otters, they hunt them. After they hunt for otters, they leave the island, and come back with more people. This chapter was exciting.I do not know what will happen next. NEW WORDS: cormorants, toyon bush Cormorants means: A marine diving bird. I don't know what toyon bush means.
